Sullivan’s Island Feature Wall

A sculptural bas relief plaster mural we created for a double height staircase wall in a contemporary oceanfront home. The tropical foliage is life sized and has depth and texture from the hand applied and carved plaster. The work was created on a grid of 130 separate panels in our studio, which we then shipped to site and our team installed. Seams between the panels were blended and carved again with more layers of plaster. A labor intensive process with stunning results. The white on white relief catches light dramatically in this bold and unique mural.
