Whimsy and humor abound in our murals for the Club Lounge at the Westin St Francis Hotel in San Francisco. References to the hotel’s rich history and the city’s magic, painted in the style of the Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle Hotel in New York. The quirky, cheeky illustrative style brings s lighthearted mood to the intimate dining room. Another sweeping mural was added in the corridor outside the lounge, featuring the famous St. Francis chef at the turn of the 20th Century, Fifi the poodle, a beloved character from Bemelmans’ children’s books, and Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera being served. A very delightful project.
